True to form, I never really got around to starting our Christmas cards until 5 days before Christmas. Because actually having them in people’s mailboxes by the 25th would be absurd. Who wants a Christmas card at Christmas?! Probably no one.
I definitely hate when I have to put up adorable pictures of smiling families on my cabinets for the whole month of December. Being wished a Merry Christmas by friends and family is a definite bummer. And sooooo predictable in your red and green and Santa hats. No one wants that.
So I try to oblige by sending out “surprise! It’s a Christmas card for St Patrick’s Day!” cards. No one ever sees those coming. I managed to narrow it down from 500 to 1 where the Saurus is mostly looking at the camera and is somewhat not grimacing and/or crying and there are no stray dogs trying to gain attention.
