Since the start of the great blog project, I’ve gotten a few questions. Here are the answers.  If you have a question for me, no matter how ridiculous, then ask away!

What is the secret behind the delicious-looking photographs?
This one makes me laugh the most because a) the photos often make my food look less delicious, b) I don’t own a camera. Just an iPhone. It’s poor memory is entirely consumed with pictures of food. But the secret is photoshop. I might be a terrible photographer but I took a photoshop class one time when I thought I wanted to be a graphic designer. Photoshop is genius.

Every time I talk to you, you’re baking something. How do you and Husband stay so skinny?
This is from my father-in-law who is a very very sweet man and hasn’t yet realized I’m not actually skinny.
But the answer to why we don’t have diabetes (yet) is that Husband runs. A lot. And I am rarely able to eat anything. Except my peanut butter cookies. I have to bring them to work quickly so I won’t eat them all.

When are you going to open your own bakery?
As soon as someone gives me a million dollars. In the meantime, you can visit my shop on etsy and order a few items from there. I will happily make anything you see on the blog – even if it’s not an official “listing” on Etsy.  Just message me with what you want and how much and we’ll work it out.

Husband thinks that I’m an idiot for attempting to sell baked goods when I’ve already given you the recipes but I mostly just want to bake things and don’t care so much about being successful. This is why Husband has a business degree and I have a history one.

Why do you talk funny?this from the 5-year-old next door
Because I’m from Texas and I’m pretty sure you’re the one who’s talking funny.

When can we cook the ducks?this is usually accompanied by a recipe suggestion
THEY’RE NOT FOR COOKING. EVER. ORDER YOUR OWN DUCKS FROM THE INTERNET.  But if you would like a delicious duck recipe, I recommend this cassoulet recipe from epicurious.com.  It’s to die for.

When is there going to be a little adventure?
Husband started this one but everyone has since picked up the cause in the last couple of years
The answer is…February! Growing a tiny human takes a very, very long time.
